Social Work Choice UK is recruiting for a Council that is currently seeking an Advanced Practitioner to join their family service department. the role involves providing a comprehensive and effective social work service for children and their families, responding to complex situations within statutory Guidelines, The successful candidate must have substantial post-qualifying experience in a statutory children social care setting, with a practise educators award being desirable.
Duties:
To provide a comprehensive and effective integrated social work service within statutory guidelines and obligations of the council.
To work within a resilience framework.
To take a lead role in a specialist area of work as directed by departmental policies and procedures.
To assess, plan, implement and evaluate safeguarding and permanence measures at high levels of complexity within their own cases.
To support and mentor less experienced social workers and be assessors for NQSWs
To submit reports, assessments and plans within regulated timescales.
To be competent in all areas of knowledge and skill statements for Child and family social workers in addition to the knowledge and skills statement: Achieving permanence
Qualifications and experience:
substantial post-qualifying experience in a statutory Children's Social Care setting.
Practise educator award [ desirable ]
Competency in the knowledge and skills statement: Achieving permanence.
HCPC Proficiency for social workers and an updated portfolio with evidence of continuous professional development.
Professional Registration with the HCPC or any subsequent statutory registration body.
